Late Night Load Out

‘Late Night Load Out’ is the debut LP from Dublin five piece band Papa Romeo. The release is a collection of work which catalogues their first two years of rehearsing and performing together around Ireland, a process which has forged their sound. The ‘Late Night Load Out’, became the term to describe loading gear out of venues late at night after a show, the hard work which follows the high. The tracks journey through sound palettes founded on dreamy spaced out indie rock, with moments of ambient contemporary jazz on ‘Deep Purp’ and ‘Deep Purp (Reprise)’, as well as rougher post-punk influenced sounds on focus track ‘Chicken Town’. Opening single ‘World of Paint’ was aired as New Music Fix by BBC6. Late Night Load Out is being distributed by Prime Direct Distribution and will be released on digital and vinyl on May 24th 2024, under the band’s new imprint ‘Land Before Time’.
